What we collect, why, and how to get rid of it.

What we collect
- If you subscribe: your email address, the page you submitted from, and a timestamp.
- If you buy access: your email address, the name you optionally give at checkout, and the payment record Stripe returns to us — amount, currency, status and a payment identifier.
- Inside the platform: the goals, habits, tasks, measurements, day verdicts, energy check-ins and progress photos you create, plus basic account and sign-in records.
We never see or store your card number. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe.
How we use it
To create and run your account, send your login and receipts, answer your questions, process refunds, and — if you subscribed — send new articles. We don't sell your data, we don't share it with third parties for their marketing, and we don't use your content to train AI models.
The in-platform assistant sends the text of your message and a catalogue of lesson titles to Google's Gemini API to work out what you're asking for. Your goals, habits, photos and measurements are not handed to it wholesale, and it never writes to your data itself — it only names an action, which our own code carries out against your account.
How we store it
Data lives in our own database on our own server. Progress photos are stored outside the public web root and served only to the account that owns them. Access is limited to the people operating IfYouTakeRisk.
Who processes data with us
- Stripe — payments and refunds.
- Google (Gemini API) — the assistant's language understanding.
- Our email provider — delivery of your access details and any messages you asked for.
Your choices
Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. You can ask us to export or delete your account and its data at any time by writing to info@ecom-guide.com; deletion removes your content, including stored photos. Records we're required to keep for accounting — the fact of a payment and its amount — stay for as long as the law requires.
Cookies
The public site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. The platform sets a session cookie so you can stay signed in — it's necessary for the service and nothing else uses it. If we ever add analytics, this page changes first.
Changes to this policy
If the policy changes, the “last updated” date above changes with it, and material changes appear here before they take effect.
